Scott

Went down to live with my Uncle Davy every summer.   One thing he insisted on was that if ever the police were to come to the house then I was to go home.  I stole his .22 rifle and had a few shots at a fence.   Well one pellet went thru the slats and the police were informed.  He said " well son u knew the rules"  I was broken hearted and ready to run off. But Aunt Julie ( my angel)  stuck up for me and I got a reprieve.

I wouldnt have swapped my summers in Hawick even if my mam & dad were rich and took me abroad.

I will always feel like a son to you and it was a priviledge to have known you.  You faced up to your illness with a strength that I could only admire.

I miss you loads but I know your own kids ( whom you adored) surpass me with their grief.

You were taken so early and I only wish you could see the relationship I now have with Dylan & Shelli.

I now have other things to bring me to Hawick.

But it ain't the same place without you.

Never could be.
